I grew up in Seattle, as did my parents, and my grandparents. I know and haved lived Seattle’s and Washington’s 20th & 21st century history.
I lived 15+ years in 8 countries in Europe: I travel as much as I can. I love to learn about the history and social context of the places I visit.
I love music and art. I made a musical pilgrimage to Mali, West Africa, home of so much music I love. Recently I went to Uzbekistan to see the amazing art in the Igor Savitsky museum.

We created the Seattle Local Tour Guide website to help people to learn about Seattle and Washington State art and history, especially through self-guided walking tours. There were many tours and apps, but not a website with a list of all of them from which a user can easily choose which tour is right for them.
This website is ad-free and not sponsored by any commercial interests. We run it out of love for art, history and culture.
